Today we did secret santa. What a cool surprise that was. Merry Christmas 🎄

Christmas party

What an awesome time I had at the Christmas party on Friday! All my friends were there, heaps of awesome music to dance to, and we were even surprised with a circus show! The food was delicious. What a awesome way to end the year.

Back to arohanui

Today was my first day back at Arohanui. Everyone was so excited to see me and I was so excited to see all my friends! I started my day with girls group. I got my nails painted and my hair done.

Chocolate fudge

This morning for girls group we made chocolate fudge! I helped to sift the ingredients and mix it together!

Music

we had a great time in music this afternoon, playing all sorts Kareoke songs!

Sewing

I worked on hand sewing the outside of a blanket we have started making today

Historic village

we had a great outing to the historic village

Talent quest

On Friday we went down to wilrose for the final of the talent quest. I did a great performance with mark, but I also really enjoyed watching all the other performances.

Rainbow Springs

I had a great day out at Rainbow Springs where we got to see baby Kiwis that only just hatched out of their shells!!! Feed the Fish and seen all the beautiful birds!!!

Girls group

i enjoyed our recent girls group. I had a foot spa and also enjoyed my nails being painted.

Guide dogs

Today we had a visit from the guide dog foundation, they brought in 5 dogs and one was just a cute little puppy, it was nice to be able to pat them and feed them.

Practise makes perfect

Only 3 weeks til the talent contest at Wilrose and getting some much need practise. Oh what a night.

Mosaics

Sewing

I enjoyed making a cushion cover in sewing, I am going to put it on my bed.

We are making a daffodil picture in are using tissue paper it is lots of fun.

Gardening

We grew flowers in the work garden, we picked them and pressed them in a book, then we glued them on car and laminated them.

Weaving

i had a good time working on my weaving project, a fabric book bag. I really like listening to music while I am weaving the fabric in and out of the plastic "frame"

Kiwifruit

Today in my cooking session I made kiwi fruit relish. It didn't smell very good cooking up with vinegar but

Music with Tess

this afternoon Tess came in and played her guitar for us. I loved it! I knew the words to sing along!

Rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb

I was so excited to cook some rhubarb and apple together this week. I really like making my own portions and this is one of my favourites. I can't wait to take it home and eat it for breakfast.  I helped to peel all the rest of the apples using the peeler corer machine and freeze the apples for another recipe.

i went to the sonic cinema in the historic village today. We watched 'the greatest showman' and ate popcorn! I had a good time!

Drying Dem Apples

I had an amazing day, peeling and coring apples and preparing them to be dehydrated, I was tempted to eat them because the spirals looked lovely, I did however sample a little bit to make sure the apples were of high quality.

Garden

I really enjoy my time in the garden cleaning and watering the plants, today I got to plant some flowers.

Bee outing

I had an amazing outing to the comvita store today in Paengaroa.
My favourite part was smelling the different scents of the flowers.

Gardening around the centre

this afternoon I was really busy tidying up around the centre. I grabbed myself a broom and off I went cleaning up all the leafes

Make it sew

Today we went to the sewing shop to see if we could find a replacement foot control. There was a very funny model in the front window sitting at an very old singer treadle machine. The man was very helpful in finding a new old foot control.

Girls group

Yesterday I helped to make clementine juice in girls group. It was so fun!

Gardening

I like gardening and looking after our flowers.

Magnetic blocks

This morning I build different shapes out of magnetic blogs. I made a flower and a tree and really enjoyed myself

Painting Gnomes

Today in Garden art I started painting garden gnomes to decorate the gardens around the centre.
I'm having a great time colouring the gnomes in funky colours

Out and about

Today we went to Yatton park I enjoyed playing swing ball

Dees baby

Dee brought her baby into see us his name is Torben and he is very very cute.

3D Trick art Gallery

On Tuesday I went on a really cool trip to the 3D trick art gallery in Rotorua! There were awesome murals painted on to the walls and we had to pose with the paintings in a certain way. when we took photos it made it look like we were part of the picture, it was real and in 3D!! I had so much fun.

Dee's baby shower!

Today was a day of dirty diaper throwing, pin the bottle on the baby, putting nappies on a baby and baby obstacle course! We had a blast! We also had to guess who's who from staff baby photos AND guess the amount of sweets in the baby bottle.

What A Day!!!

 To be able to go and feed Ducks and then see there Babies, was amazing!!! they are so cute
That im tempted to take one home.
