July update

I had an amazing time at the Masquerade ball! I dressed in a lovely orange top and skirt to match my mask, I had my hair and make up done, I looked and felt beautiful. I danced by the DJ Booth and danced with staff and some nice gentlemen.

I  really had a fun start to the month, we have started a new program and I am excited to have new sessions with different staff.

I loved it when we were visited by the Tauranga Golden Brass band! They played many songs for us and were so lovely.

In girls group I worked on a goal of mine which was making homemade skincare using Oats, honey and Aloe Vera. We blended up into a mask for my face. It felt sticky but my face was lovely and soft afterwards. . I've been making sure to keep my nails fresh each week too.

I went to Sonic cinema! It is a really cool theatre. We had popcorn and a drink and settled in to watch Paddington Bear. I really liked the movie.  I went to the Detour theatre to watch my friends in the Drama production, the 9 princesses, which was lots of fun. I went back to the Historic village for an outing to the art galleries, I saw some beautiful artworks and I also saw the new fairy garden.

I had fun playing a human board game with my friends from Te Puke. We took turns rolling the dice and walking on the board. I would do funny actions depending on what number I was on, it was funny watching everyone else too.

I went on an outing to the Historic village to see the new Fairy village walk. There were cute mushrooms and mini houses for fairies.

I went to the Pot House to see a Matariki clay exhibition and then on to The Incubator to see another exhibition of small kites and flax sculptures to represent the stars of matariki. I really liked the clay Kite`s.

We had a FIFA football celebration day at the center, I decorated a flag for my country, and then we watched a really cool movie and I thought it was pretty cool.

I had my first key client session. Dee did my makeup for me, I chose the colour of the eye shadow and lipstick to match my outfit. I had my hair done, my nails and chose a perfume, I looked beautiful!

In art I went step by step with Amy to make a cool portrait of a Leopard, taking the small steps helped me to stay focused and it turned out really beautiful, I was proud of myself.
